Samburu National Reserve, Kenya

Africa was more wonderful than I could have ever imagined. Our first night on safari was in Samburu. Samburu National Reserve is located in the northern part of Kenya on the Ewaso Ng’iro river. The camp shown below is the Elephant Bedroom Camp which is a very appropriate name since one night we had two elephants sleep right outside our tent; it was certainly a very exciting part of our trip. The Masai chief pictured was on the tv show Survivor. Notice the style details such as his ‘ok’ belt, the beautiful fabrics and the pattern mixing. The safari was booked with “Orgins Safari Company.

I hope you enjoyed this post. I will also write a post about the Masai Mara, Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater.
